Selectarc POLYFLUX

POLYFLUX is a ready-to-use brazing flux designed for general brazing alloys and autogenous cast brazing. This powder or paste formulation offers an aggressive cleaning action, significantly improving the fluidity of brazing alloys. It remains active across a broad temperature range, making it suitable for alloys with melting points exceeding 700°C. POLYFLUX is compatible with various flame brazing methods, induction brazing, and resistance brazing applications, and is RoHS compliant. It is formulated for use with alloys such as Cuprox, Nicrox, Super Cuprox/Nicrox, Brazargent 1505, 1512Si, and 1520Si.

POLYFLUX is recommended for brazing steel, copper, copper alloys, and nickel & nickel alloys. Typical applications include the electrical industry, vehicle construction, and copper tube installation. When using the powder form, it should be mixed with water and applied to the joint surface using a brush. For the powder form, a hot rod can be dipped into the flux, transferring it to the joint area. Careful mechanical cleaning and degreasing of the joint surface before applying the flux are recommended. Ensure slow and even heating to the brazing temperature, monitoring the flux’s clarity as a temperature guide. Remove flux residue post-brazing using hot water (60°C for 30 minutes) or mechanical cleaning methods such as a wire brush, steam jet, or abrasive blasting media.

Framatome entre au capital de Selectarc
