Selectarc FLUX ALUNOX NC3

ALUNOX NC3 is a non-corrosive brazing flux specifically formulated for joining aluminium and low alloy aluminium alloys. It’s designed for use with solidus and liquidus temperatures of 630°C or higher and is compatible with various brazing methods including flame, induction, and resistance brazing. This flux is formulated to minimize fume generation and is RoHS compliant.

ALUNOX NC3 is recommended for applications such as brazing radiators, heating elements, sandwich bottom pots, and deep fat fryers. The flux is typically applied by mixing with water (a 1:1 or 1:1.5 ratio of flux to water is recommended), and then brushed across the joint surface prior to assembly. It can also be used with the hot rodding method, where a warm flux-coated rod is applied to the joint. Proper joint preparation (cleaning and degreasing) and gradual, even heating are crucial for optimal results. The flux’s opacity indicates the brazing temperature has been reached. Because the flux is non-corrosive, no residue removal is required after brazing.
