Selectarc AGFLUX PASTE
AGFLUX PASTE is a ready-to-use brazing flux paste specifically formulated for silver and copper alloys. It’s a general-purpose paste suitable for joining various metals, including copper, brass, nickel, steel, and stainless steel. It’s often used in applications like radiators, heating elements, and other metal components. This flux is certified A.T.G. Certigaz and conforms to NF EN 1045 ATG standards. It is designed to be used in conjunction with PAG 60 and BRAZARGENT 34 GAZ for optimized brazing performance.
AGFLUX PASTE is applied to the joint surface prior to assembly, typically using a brush. Ensure the joint is mechanically cleaned and degreased before application. The flux’s clarity indicates the brazing temperature is reached. If blackening occurs, it suggests insufficient flux, overheating, or flux depletion. Post-braze, carefully remove the flux residue using hot water (60°C), a rag, or abrasive cleaning methods. Consider quenching the joint in water (below 300°C) to fragilize the flux residue for easier removal. This product is designed for both flame and cold brazing techniques, though flame brazing requires careful monitoring.
