Selectarc SUPER CUPROX

SUPER-CUPROX is a braze welding alloy formulated from copper and zinc, enriched with a small addition of silicon and manganese. The key feature of this alloy is the inclusion of 1% silver, which significantly lowers its melting point while enhancing fluidity and capillary action, leading to stronger joint formation. It is primarily offered as bare rods or coated with POLYFLUX. Due to its high zinc content, careful control of the heating cycle is recommended to prevent zinc vaporization.

SUPER-CUPROX is ideally suited for brazing high-stress joints, and is particularly effective when joining steel to steel or carbide to steel. It is also suitable for joining steels, cast irons, molded steels, nickel and nickel alloys, copper, bronze, brass, nickel silver, cupro-aluminium, provided the solidus temperature is greater than 900°C. A controlled quench (above 300°C) is crucial for preventing joint weakening.
